NYC Theater
Port Authority Throw Down
By
Mike Batistick
Directed by Connie Grappo
Featuring:
James Murray Jackson, Annie McNamara, Debargo Sanyal
and Aladdin Ullah
Port Authority Throw Down this bitingly funny play
brings together two Pakistani brothers, a homeless
alcoholic and a Christian missionary from Akron Ohio
in a social, racial and religious clash of cultures at
the crossroads of the world. The play challenges our
notions of humanity, homeland security and democracy
in a post 9/11 New York City.
Be Daring, Be the First: The Working Theater's
commitment to developing risky new work has resulted
in the inauguration of our First Stage Presentation
program. This program gives our playwright and our
audience a chance to see a play on its feet in its
purest form, with minimal design elements and without
the pressure of opening for critics.
At: The Access Theater, 380 Broadway, (two blocks
south of Canal at White St.)
Subway: R/W, 6 or 1/9 to Canal Street
6 performances only:
